INSIGHT to the WRITER
T.Nicole is a self-professed hip-hop head. Raised on early 90’s hip-hop and R&B, she has an extensive knowledge of both and will go toe to toe with any male counterpart if challenged. Her favorite rapper is Jay-Z and favorite singer is Teena Marie, just to give you an idea of her musical tastes. She isn’t necessarily a fan of today’s hip-hop roster or format, but she’s always on the lookout for a diamond in the rough, and willing to embrace it.
A rebel at heart; this blog was born because she wanted to write more, and someone told her she wasn’t qualified. A week later, the domain was purchased, and the journey began. She’s figuring it out along the way. She’s had the opportunity to interview Letoya Luckett-Walker and worked with Zena Foster and Tank.
While this blog will cover many things, it will focus heavily on music, current events, and anything she chooses to wax poetic about. Feel free to suggest topics for her to write about here on the blog or on Instagram.
Long Gone tells the story of a one-sided relationship, and gives us an exact measure of her breaking point. While Joella delivers the message of being over this relationship; both men and women can relate to a partner that doesn’t reciprocate, or as the kids say “match your energy”. If ever you find yourself asking a mate; “Have I ever even met you?”, and you immediately respond with; “No, not in reality”; it might just be time for you to be Long Gone.
